Terrarium 30x30x45cm for arboreal tarantula.
Inspired by the Malaysian forests, where it naturally occurs C. schioedtei.
Cork tubes imitate thin trees found in the forests of Asia, thus we obtained a terrarium with conditions similar to the natural.

In the terrarium we used the following plants:

Pilea pinokkio
Davallia humata tyermanii “Bunny”
Forest moss.

As a substrate we used coco fiber.

Humidity is about 80%. Everyday we spray whole terrarium with water from reverse osmosis filter.
In addition, every two weeks the plants are fertilized by Tropica Plant GROWTH SPECIALISED FERTILISER diluted with water in an amount of 5 ml / 2 liters of water.

Terrarium for Poecilotheria miranda

Terrarium 30x30x45cm for arboreal tarantula.
The basic idea was to create a large hiding place for the female P. miranda, so we used quite big cork tube. It imitates a hole in a broken tree trunk.

The aim was to create a landscape concentration of old, broken trees where the female could find her hiding place. For this purpose we used a branched tube cork and a few smaller to get a natural result.

P.rufilata is a really big tarantula hence the use of robust and large plants.
Cork tubes were placed so that tarantula could easily use them as a scaffold to build nests in back part of the terrarium, between the background and the tubes.

E.olivacea comes from mountain areas near the volcano hence terrarium setup
has a gloomy look. Black base and a small number of plants underline this
austere landscape, while the cork tube provides shelter for a tarantula.
